Sudanese Doctors Accepted in UK
(Khartoum) - The British government says Sudanese graduates of medical schools can now practice in Britain.
In a press conference held in Khartoum on Wednesday, the chairman of the Sudanese Medical Council, Prof. Zain Alabdin Karar, announced that medical certificates from Sudanese universities will now be accepted in the United Kingdom.
The chairman of the medical and health committee at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Abdalgader Mohamed Yousif Alkadoru, said there has been a controversy over the recognition of Sudanese degrees since last April.
The British government had forbidden the holders of Sudanese degrees in medicine to work in Britain.
