Fire in Ad Du'ayn (Ad Du'ayn town), East Darfur
On 27 February 2024, a fire broke out in Hai Muhajir area of Ad Du'ayn Town of Ad Du'ayn locality, East Darfur. The fire was reportedly a result of a cooking accident. As a result, 25 houses were destroyed and agricultural crops were damaged. Reportedly, displaced households sought refuge in the host community and with relatives in the town. No deaths or injuries were reported. DTM will continue to monitor the developments closely and will provide further information on displacement and population mobility across Sudan, on a weekly basis.
